Lady Dolly and family,
Saddend to hear of the passing away of your and our beloved SK George. Met him a few Sundays ago at the POP Sunday service. Even in this frail condition he managed to give me a smile. I will miss his warm handskake and his regular compliments -"Bento thanks for all you do for KOFC". My comment -" SK George I am only reaping the benefits of what you did for us many years ago at POP". A humble soul, a confidant, a teacher , a mentor to many and a historian. I relied on his excellent memory for getting information about other Brother Knights and POP KOFC of previous years. Very fond of his camera. If he clicked your picture be asured you would get a copy within two days via email.
SK George -- Rest peacefully , live in Glory in your heavely home,
Lady Dolly and family -- Please be assured of our continued prayers that the Lord may grant you the strength to bear this loss

I first met Sir George Poblete at St. Barnabas Parish when he was laying the groundwork for the Knights of Columbus chapter. Together with the late Brother Joe Palomares, we recruited and signed up prospective knights for the new parish chapter. Sir George was always there providing encouragement and assisted in ensuring the new parish KofC chapter was organized and running.
Sir George, you are truly a gentleman and a scholar, you have a special place in the hearts of the St. Barnabas KofC members. You will be missed. Until we meet again !

To Mrs. Poblete and the entire family.
We are so sorry for your loss. He had such an infectious smile and a gentle heart. Last time I got to see him was on one of my walks. Stopped by just to say hi and ended up in a 20min chat. He will be missed greatly.
Mr. Poblete may you rest in peace. You forever will be in our hearts.
Condolences from my family to yours.

Dear Lady Dolly & Family:
Aggie and I, together with our daughters Marcia and Judith, extend our deepest condolences to you on the passing of SK George Poblete.
Bro. George is not only a friend but a confidant to me. He was instrumental in me joining the Knights of Rizal, and I am now a lifetime member. He relied on me for his computer updates and repairs, and I looked forward to visiting him. George is a good entertainer and makes everyone happy at meetings of Knights of Columbus and Knights of Rizal. I have fond memories of the Christmas parties we organized on behalf of Bishop Greco Assembly when George was Navigator, and I was his Captain. Now both our grandsons have taken up judo and our daughter Judith says "Tito George" inspired her when they discussed at a party some years ago.
We pray that Mother Mary comfort you at this difficult time. May Bro. George's soul rest in God's peace eternally. Amen.

Dear Tita Dolly and Family.
So sorry for your loss.
I met the Poblete family over forty years ago and quickly became friends. One day George approached me and asked if he formed a Judo Club, would I help. Of course I said yes. Over the years he had two clubs, St. Ignatius and Albert Campbell. There were lots of parents who wanted their kids to learn self defense. My 3 boys learnt a lot from him.
Thanks George. May you rest in peace my friend.
Love from:
Tita Joyce

I first met George and Dolly when I joined the Rosary Apostolate and we would visit the children at St. Sylvester school together. George was always friendly and welcoming and would put the team at ease with his jokes. I would often meet up with them at St. Barnabas parish and George always made me feel like he was so happy to see me. He was a very special man and I pray for his eternal rest and for comfort and peace for Dolly.

Dearest Amy,
Although I did not know your father, I can see the quality of the man he was through the beautifully written tribute to him. What a truly full life he had ... family, sports community and religion.
Among the list of his many accomplishments in life, one of the best is raising the fine daughter and woman you are, Amy.
He must have been so very proud of you.
Blessings
Hazel

George was a first class gentleman. He always stood by his bride, Dolly. Semper Fidei. (Always faithful!) He was a man of cheerful demeanor and believe it or not: a fourth degree black belt in Kodokan judo! George was not a man of many words, but his smile spoke volumes.
Wishing Dolly and family many blessings in this time of mourning. May his soul rest in peace & may Our Lady of Mount Carmel embrace George.
Pax et bonum

On behalf of all his Brother Sir Knights in the KOC Bishop Greco Assembly 2113, let me express our most sincere condolences to Lady Dolly and the entire Poblete Family.
We offer our deepest sympathies while retaining the fondest memories of Brother George and his countless efforts in support of the broader community and the Church. We lost count of the number of occasions in which we happily posed for photographs organized by Brother George and published in the Filipino media. He will remain in our memories and prayers
