Obituary of Dr. Sylvia Bella Athaide

Our incredible mother and cherished member of the community, Dr. Sylvia Bella Athaide, passed away on October 20, 2023. She had a momentous career spanning over four decades, taking care of thousands of patients and delivering countless babies. She was the eldest of five children of the late Alex & Ana D’Souza. She was predeceased by her husband Victor Athaide. She is survived by her daughter Shana (Robert), her son Gregory (Anna Lisa), her siblings Cathy (late Victor), Linda (Everest), Rozario (Gillian) and Loretta, and her many nieces and nephews. She was adored by her grandchildren Jolene, Abriella, Noah, Eliana, and Owen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Parkinson Canada (parkinson.ca).
