Bob and Elisabeth are/were godparents to our daughter Catherine. John and Robbie went to school together. Our association was close. Bob would always greet me by saying, "Hey Mike, how's every little thing?" Bob would always lambast "liberals".
He had the gift of gab and he followed politics.
Bob would always sit in his favourite chair with his litre of diet coke beside him. He was a bit of Archie Bunker, philosopher, and sage. He enjoyed talking with me.
Elisabeth would keep him in check and he would sheepishly say, "Oh honey bunny". A one of a kind person who loved hunting, scuba diving and tinkering with his electrical projects of fixing things.
We saw Bob before he entered hospital and our prayers and thoughts were for his recovery. My wife and I went into shock when his recovery took a sudden reversal.
I loved Bob and I hope he's talking God's ear off as to how he can fix this world.
I will never forget you Bob. You know we will keep an eye on Elisabeth and your boys.
May your Spirit rest in peace.

Bobby’s home was always filled with laughter and close family ties. He loved his family and was loved by us. May light perpetual shine upon him.

Bob was always a cheerful brother and uncle, happy to talk about his hobbies of scuba diving or hunting.
He didn't have a mean bone in his body and made friends easily through his approachable manner, always willing to help out if he could.
Proud of his sons, getting together with them regularly enhanced his life and kept him up to date with the younger generation.
Bob made light of his long illness and was lucky to have Elisabeth always close by to care for him and enjoy retirement together.
His passing leaves a big hole for his family, but his unconditional love will give comfort and leave us all with many happy memories.
A fond farewell from his sister, Barbara; his brother-in-law, Iain; and his niece, Vanessa (Noam); and nephew, Alistair (Ruth).
