In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Mascarenhas
November 22, 1946 - October 12, 2023

Jeffrey Mascarenhas, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his loving parents Anthony and Dorothy Mascarenhas.

In 1970, Jeff embarked on a life changing journey to Canada with his brother John. In 1971, he met Helen Mascarenhas (nee Chambers), and they were married on May 14, 1977. Their love endured for over 46 years.

Jeffrey was a proud father to his sons, Adam, Sean, and Scott, and was cherished by his daughters-in-law, Michele, Julie, and Sara. His grandchildren, Haley, Violet, and Sawyer brought immense joy to his life. Sharing stories of them would always light up his face.

Jeff also leaves behind his siblings, John, Crissilda (Cliff), Dudley, Marian (Andrew) and Beverly (Wency), as well as numerous nieces and nephews who admired his warm and caring nature.

Jeff had an unwavering passion for music and dancing, which he shared with his family and friends throughout his life. His enthusiasm for these brought laughter and happiness to all who knew him. Jeff remained a loyal fan of the Blue Jays despite their uneven play often providing more frustration than joy.

Jeff will be remembered for his love, laughter, and the music that will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on through the memories and stories shared by family and friends.
 

A funeral mass to celebrate Jeffrey's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 20, at St. Joseph’s Parish in Scarborough. Following the Mass, an interment and reception will take place at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery in Markham.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jeff's honour.
