In Loving Memory

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Angelo Tsinokas at the age of 93.

Angelo was predeceased by his loving wife of 69 years, Katina, who passed away 10 months ago. Proud father of Mary (Bob), Vasile (Debra), Pat (Vlado), (Heidi) predeceased George. Cherished Dedo to Jason, Jeff (Andie), Natasha (Trevor), Philip (Laura), Victoria (Sean), Spenser (Dave), Emily, Nadia and Steven. Treasured great Dedo to Ellie, Ava, and Jack.

Angelo was born on March 15, 1930 in the village of Vevi, Florina, Greece. Son to Vasile and Evgenia, Brother to Tom, and predeceased by his sister, Filka.

He lost his father when he was a young boy. As the oldest son and head of the family, Angelo took on many responsibilities. At a young age, to help support the family, he sold home items door to door, expanded his business to a wagon, and then opened a store/cafe in the center of the village. He catered to the locals and the soldiers during the war years. A tough childhood made him strong and resilient. Growing up he experienced many hardships and faced adversity; these experiences shaped him into the man he became.

In 1953 Angelo married the love of his life, Katina Kotsopoulos. In 1957 they immigrated to Canada with his mother and two children, in search for a better life. In Toronto he held many restaurant positions, and later built his career at a manufacturing plant that made machinery for producing car parts.

Through hard work and determination, Angelo and Katina built a strong foundation for their family. Through their example, their children and grandchildren learned the value of integrity, honesty, a strong work ethic, and close family.

He was a proud and independent man that continued to drive his car until a few months ago. He enjoyed going for coffee and loved to share stories with his friends and family about the old days. He loved to fix things around the house and spent countless hours tending to his flowers and vegetable gardens. His greatest joys and cherished memories were family celebrations and gatherings. Above all, Angelo was a devoted Husband, Son, Father, Dedo and Great-Dedo. His family was always his number one priority.

He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Up to the day Angelo passed, he was an extremely sharp minded and strong man. Dad you were the smartest, strongest and toughest man until the moment you left us.

You will live forever in our hearts. We love you.
