Obituary of Mrs. Andrea Hosannah

Andrea Joy Hosannah was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica on March 24, 1968.  She passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  Andrea is survived by her loving husband, Shellwin of 29 years; sons, Daniel and James.  Andrea was the second child of biological parents Loney and Flowers Butler.  She later migrated to Toronto, Ontario in 1979 to join adopted parents, the late Catherine and Eric Dudley.  She leaves behind siblings, Sunny, Patrick, Annie, Kevin, Steve and sister Elvy (George).

Andrea earned a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Seneca College and worked as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) for the Toronto District School Board for approximately ten years; before that she worked in the same capacity for fifteen years at Progress Childcare.

Andrea was a very hardworking individual, who was truly committed to her family and her faith. She will be dearly missed by her immediate family, her aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Andrea's last few years were spent battling mental health issues; however, her indomitable spirit caused her to battle the challenges until the very end.
