It is with great sadness that I write this tribute about my uncle Eddie. He first lived with us in Guyana when I was just about 8 years old & then again in Canada, a few years after we immigrated. Despite many life changes over the years, uncle Eddie always stayed connected & never failed to call me on my birthday, Mother’s Day & Christmas or New Year’s Day. He was not much of a talker but he had funny stories he would tell me sometimes about Guyana or general stuff happening in the world. I will miss these special moments & our annual Christmas card exchange where he always wrote “to Nalini & family from uncle Eddie and family”…
Anita, Marvin, aunty Rukhmin & all of uncle Eddie’s family circle, I extend deepest condolences on behalf of my mom Raj (uncle Eddie affectionately called her “Char” as in Catchar), my brothers Ramesh & Vijay & our families. Gone too soon uncle Eddie. Sleep in perfect peace.
