Obituary of Mrs. Mary Coakley
With a heavy heart, we share the sudden, peaceful passing of Mary Paterson Scanlan Coakley on Friday August 25th, 2023, at Woodhaven LTC in Markham, Ontario.
Mary was born in Glasgow, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1968 with beloved husband, William Coakley (predeceased) and her children. Mary has joined a reunion of her siblings who have all predeceased her; Catherine (Cathy) Little, Harry Scanlan Sr., Elizabeth (Betty) Duncan, David (Davie) Scanlan and Robert Scanlan.
Mary will be dearly missed by her daughter Anne Magnoli (Phil), grandchildren Laura and Mark and reunited with her son William (Bill) Coakley Jr. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and dear friends here in Canada and back home in the UK.
A special thanks to all the staff at Chartwell / Woodhaven LTC who cared dearly for Mary during her stay.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ogden Funeral Home, Scarborough, Ontario on August 31st, 2023, with visitation at 11:00 AM, funeral service at 1:00 PM, followed by interment and reception.
