Louise was a very special friend to both Chris and I . From the time we first met, which is almost 23 years ago when we moved into the neighbourhood, she demonstrated her love and care for us by bringing us various packages of delicious goodies. My husband Chris especially enjoyed the delectable cookies which Louise was famous for making!
Louise knew when I needed a lift and called me and brought something to cheer me up - just at the right time! She lifted me up when I needed it, and I encouraged and loved her when she needed it. It was a beautiful friendship - one I will always treasure. I will miss my friend terribly, but I know full well that she is in heaven now - with Jesus - where there is no more pain, sorrow or tears! She passed away on the same day as my mom (27 years ago) and I will always hold our memories dear to my heart.

We came to meet Louise several years ago when visiting family in the neighbourhood. Over the years, we became friends and always looked forward to seeing and chatting with the Ross family. Louise's sweet disposition and genuine care was always so welcoming. Whether we went over for a chat, or if she was delivering gifts of her lovely baking, she always had a smile on her face and time to visit with us. Visits will not be quite the same in her absence. We offer our sincere condolences to Ken, Cindy and Cheryl, as well as all of Louise's family and friends. We pray for you to have strength, and hope you find comfort in knowing how special your wife and mom was to so many people. With love, Paul and Margaret Falzon

I had the great honour to know and work with Louise and her family for many years. Louise always treated everyone with so much love, respect and compassion. She was so generous with her time, her gifts (popcorn, notebooks, care packages, cards to name a few) and she brought joy to everyone around her. She was one of the most special people I have ever had the good fortune to work with. I will miss her dearly. She was loved by many. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Ken, Cindy and Cheryl; you were so lucky to have Louise as your wife and mother. I hope you have comfort in your memories.

Though the light seems dim since you left this world, we know the truth is that, beyond our hurt, your light burns bright in everyone you so dearly touched.
We learned very quickly that we had many lovely neighbours. But over the years, we'd become much more like family and than neighbours. From the day you joined us to see us get married, or the joy you took in seeing our boys arrive to this world, your warmth has always been a much needed embrace.
You watched out to make sure we remembered to shut the garage door at night. Gave us a ring when our boys neglected to shut their car door, and kept a neighbourly eye on our home when we were away. You took care of our boys when we were in a pinch, and we always felt safe knowing we were leaving them with our family across the street.
We've shared thousands of hugs and millions of chats. And I always knew I had loving ears to hear me and hands to support me, just across the street.
Your laugh will be etched in our hearts and Halloween will always be yours. We'll think of you when we eat popcorn and when we make our gingerbread at Christmas time. You always had time for us and you always thought of our boys. Always.
Our dear Ms. Louise. Our hearts are broken. We are forever grateful to you for what you've given our boys....early memories of love and good will. Like another grandma, right across the street.
Dear Ross family, and all who love Louise, we wish you love, peace, and the hope that we all carry a bit of her generosity, and unending love, wherever we go.
Thank you, we love you.

The world is a bit smaller today. With the passing of a beautiful lady.
Our friendship started when I was looking for work and dropped off my resume at a doctors office, Louise was one of the receptionists working that day, we got to talking and she liked me so much she rushed my resume in and got me an on-the-spot interview with the doctor.
I did get the job, and even though I only worked there a short time, we developed a friendship outside of the office that lasted years. She was like a big sister to me, we talked on the phone for hours, I knew all about her family and she knew all about mine, yet our 2 families only met years later.
She had a big heart, she often baked cookies, or squares or prepare small bags of flavoured popcorn and took them into the office to share with others. I was always asking Louise for her recipes. She loved to make her own cards and I received many handmade birthday cards in the mail over the years. At Christmas she would sew gift bags using leftover fabric. Her creative talents were limitless.
Louise and I used our days off from work to go to the movies once a month, sometimes seeing some very unusual films. It gave us lots to talk about over coffee in her kitchen.
Over this time Louise became one of my closes friends. I am going to miss my friend very much.
