Mrs. Janina Pupin

Obituary of Mrs. Janina Pupin

Please share a memory of Mrs. Janina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on August 14, 2023.  She lived 95 years, but still wondered at just how quickly the time passed.

She enjoyed dancing to big band music, because it energized her to express herself.  She was a devout Roman Catholic, who supported her church.  She was independent minded and a hard worker who enjoyed doing things herself no matter how challenging they would seem to be. If she could do it herself, she most certainly would try before asking for help.

She saw much in her lifetime: from the rural areas of Poland to the turmoil in Germany where she was located during World War II.  With the liberation, it was off to England where she met her husband. Together, they moved yet again, this time to Canada. The country would become their long-lasting home.

She is predeceased by her husband and siblings but is survived by her two loving children.

She will be in our memories as well as the memories of all those people she has touched in her lifetime, which were many.

We miss you, Mom.

We are thankful for the assistance of the Baycrest Palliative Care team during this difficult time. Donations can be made to Baycrest in her name.
