I knew Hortense through work and have to say she was the sweetest person with the most pure heart. She cared so much for the people she supported and her coworkers. My deepest condolences to the family during this time. Hortense was a bright light and will always be remembered as such.

There are no words to express grief. Losing Tensie leaves an inexpressible void. We will never forget her kindness, her joy, her famous goat head soup at family gatherings. Tensie was a unique and wonderful person.

Hortense and I worked together at MOHLTC. She was very knowledgeable in her job and she supported all the new employees. She had a jovial personality and a great sense of humour. Even though we are both retired, we still keep in touch from time to time and share stories. She is an exceptional person and I love speaking with her. RIS Hortense until Jesus comes.

My interactions with Tensie was usually at family gatherings. I will remember how supportive she was whenever her sister was hosting, always by her side in the kitchen, you could see how much she loved and respected her sister and brother-in-law. Speaking of kitchen, Tensie's goat head soup was the absolute best.
Whenever she asked "how are you doing?," it wasn't just a polite enquiry, she really wanted to hear the answer. I will remember her as always upbeat, with a friendly and inviting personality.

I can remember Ms. Hortense passing by my grandmother (Ms. Whilel Reid) shop heading to Bethel Town square, either going to the Post Office, Bethel Town Baptist Church or catching the bus to Montego Bay or Lambs River.
She was a lovely nice and caring person.
