We have fond memories of Marion although we only knew her for a short time. After Jann’s mother passed away suddenly in January, without hesitation Marion took our foster pup Walter to stay with his sister Wila. Marion would regularly send photos and updates and would also check in to see how we were doing. This meant so much to us-to know that our foster pup was so well cared for during such a difficult time and to know that someone cared how we were as well. We can only imagine how much Don and Marion’s family must miss her.

Don, Andrew, Carole and Sarah,
On behalf of the Fraser kids, we wanted to send our deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family.
Our thoughts are with you and we reflect on all the fun times and adventures years ago at Mazinaw Lake.
The Boucher fingerprints and memories continue there today. Marion (Mrs. Boucher to all of us kids) was a centre piece and very important part of all the Mazinaw Labour Day clean ups, fun, activities, celebrations and making sure us kids stayed out of trouble ;-).
Take care during this difficult time. We are thinking of the Boucher Family and your mom especially with another Mazinaw Labour Day weekend on the horizon.

We were surprised and saddened to read of the unexpected passing of Marion.
Our memories of Marion are of very friendly bridge get togethers, of being introduced to a variety of soups, and Marion always with a dog at her heels which she (and Don) would be training as a future foster dog for the Dog Guides Foundation.
Marion will be hugely missed by Don and by their extended family and friends.

1961…two fresh faced 18 year olds, away from home for the first time, found themselves as “roomies” in the nurses’ residence of TGH, supporting each other through that formidable first year of training! Marion was a bridesmaid at our wedding in 1964 and we have kept in touch over the years through Christmas letters, sharing stories of family, travels, hobbies; for Marion- quilting and puppies!
We send our deep condolences to you, Don and your ever growing family,
Love,
Judy Webster Lilly and Jim

I met Marion and Don when they graciously offered to dog sit my foster pup, Figaro, when I went on a two-week vacation.
When I dropped off Figaro, I knew he was in excellent hands as Marion asked all the right questions about him. When picking him up, Figaro was more mature and calm. I always attribute that change to being a reflection of Marion and Don’s calm manners. And they had the BEST trove of dog toys I’ve ever seen!!! Many foster dogs and their eventual human team members are blessed to have been a product of Marion’s patient fostering of her pups.
