Obituary of Mrs. Margaret Wilma Azmathullah

Margaret W. Azmathullah (nee Martin) - Sept. 05.1948 - Aug. 01.2023
On the afternoon of August 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving children, Marg passed peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer. Marg is survived by her children Shah, Sultana (Tina), son-in-law D’Arcy, grandchildren Riley and David. Sisters Mary, Bertha, Edna and Muriel. As well as many nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered at this time, is Zahid, Marg’s youngest son; gone far too soon.
Marg will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Never one to judge, and with a heart of gold, Marg took on the role of surrogate mom to many neighborhood children while raising her own 3 beautiful, and sometimes difficult children, all on her own. This carried on throughout Marg’s entire life, always ready to take in and help anyone in need, regardless of what she herself had, and often going without. To know Marg, was to love Marg. She was small, but she was mighty. Marg’s laughter, love of life, love of family & friends, will live on in our cherished memories and the stories we share. 

The family would like to thank the caring and supportive staff at Scarborough General Hospital, Dr. Schneider, additional medical staff & caregivers and especially Elizabeth for her care and love for Marg.

Family will welcome visitors between 2-4pm, at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, ON.

A celebration of life will follow at Watt’s Restaurant, 1 Eglinton Square, Scarborough, ON from 5pm-7pm.
