As a blind skier with the Toronto Ski Hawks for over 3 decades, I had the pleasure of skiing with Joe on many occasions. He was a dedicated, compassionate and fun guide to ski with.
Joe always enjoyed the Apres Skis that Eileen hosted at our cottage.
His good humor and smiles will certainly be missed.
Happy Trailblazing, Joe, on those heavenly powdered slopes.

Joe, We spent a lot of time on the slopes together with the ski school, over 25 years at last count. I will especially miss the rides up north together in the car pool. You made the trip easy for the rest of us with your easy going personality and wit. You are dearly missed.

Joe was a wonderful and caring person and almost always had a smile on his face. He was an asset to the Toronto Ski Hawks Ski School and it was a privilege to work long with him for the 29 years he was a guide. My wife ( who is visually impaired ) also loved skiing with Joe while she was with the Ski Hawks. He will be missed by us all.

Joe, your space on earth can not be replaced but your spirit will live on within those lucky enough to call you family and friend. Thank you Joe, for everything you brought to our lives. You gave calm, gentle and consistent reinforcement that there are truly good souls in the world. You were quietly charming, supportive and always entirely accepting of people just exactly how they were at that time. Personally, you always made me feel seen, heard, carefully considered, and valued. Oh so very valued. You helped a family heal from various traumas. It seemed without even knowing the gentle care that you gave us. You and I weren't family by blood, but you were always my uncle, my family. I was so looking forward to spending time with you again. I took it for granted you would be around. I love you, Joe Polito, and you will be so missed, and remembered so fondly, with such love. Thank you for all you have done for us and all you have given us.
