Hyacinth L. Lawrence (née Wedderburn) affectionally known as “Mama Cindy” was born on August 11, 1937 in Sheffield Westmoreland, Jamaica, and passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023 in Scarborough, Ontario surrounded by her family.

 

Cindy migrated to Canada in 1969. After her arrival, she obtained employment with Crown Life Insurance, and then at Sunnybrook Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed travelling with her family and friends whenever the opportunity arose. 

 

Mama Cindy was predeceased by her mother Eva, brother Dennis, and son Michael.

 

She is survived by her 5 children; Clovis, Charmaine, Alva, Paula & Donovan.

 

She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a plethora of friends.

 

Our family is grateful to know that she is finally at peace.
