DOROTHY LORRAINE HURL

Lorraine Hurl passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on July 7, 2023, at the age of 93 with family by her side at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Tom Hurl (1982). Loving mother of Susan, Tim (Sue), Pam (Bob), and Craig (Anna). Cherished Grandma of Ashley (Mike), Jen (Ryan), Michael (Laura), Dana, Mike (Kaitlin), Belinda (Rick), Frances, Karissa and Samantha. Devoted Great-Grandma “GG” of Owen, Emma, Abigail, William, Henrik, Charlie, Lincoln, Gordie-Rose and Florence. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sister June and will be remembered fondly by nephews Jim (Gay) and John. She had a wonderful sense of humour, was an avid reader, loved the challenge of crossword puzzles, and was known to enjoy a glass of wine. Cremation has taken place with future interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (Toronto). A reception to celebrate her life is being held at the Angus Glen Golf Club, Kennedy Loft, 10080 Kennedy Rd., Markham, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 pm. Memories and a Toast to Honour her will be at 2:00 p.m.
