Dear Anna &Family,
Please accept condolences from Sam and I. May you find comfort in the Arms of Our Loving Lord as you grieve the pain and loss of Louie.
Louie a man of faith, soft spoken and a man of few words but he had a sense of humour, a smile that lite up his face, and a stylish walk. My experience over the years, after daily Mass gave me an insight into his kindness , he would always check if I had a ride home. During the summer he would ask if the cherries are ready. If they were he would come over, climb the ladder and pick cherries while Anna and I would be looking on and worrying .
Louie will be dearly missed, but whenever we walk into St Bartholomew we will be reminded of his artisan which adorns the several areas in the church. Fine craftsmanship like the Confessional screen the Stations of the Cross plaques and the CWL cupboard to name a few. In my personal experience I can brag of his handwork in the finishing touches to the stair railings in my home. Those cherished memories of Louie will live on in our hearts.
The last time I visited Louis in the hospital as we recited the Rosary he would attempt to keep us as he held each bead.He was at peace, and was ready for his eternal home.

“Death is not extinguishing of the light, but blowing out of the candle, because the dawn has come. I have got my leave, bid me farewell my loved ones. The lamp that lit my corner is out. A summons have come and I am ready for my journey.” Your St Barts family will continue to lift you up in prayers.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of Louie. We spent many years at St. Barts and Louie was always available and willing to share his talents. He was a great asset to the Parish. Our deepest sympathies to Anna and Family. He surely will be missed. God Bless.

Anna and family - my thoughts and prayers are with you. Louie will be forever remembered for his love of family, his faith, and carpentry. Our deepest sympathies to Anna and the boys on their loss. We first met Louis when we moved onto The same street in 1969. We always enjoyed talking to him when he would take his walk passed our house. Rest in piece our friend.
