Elaine Norma Wentt, nee George, 85 years old, of Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, passed away on Saturday May 6, 2023, after a 2 year battle with terminal cancer.

Elaine Norma was born on March 4, 1938 to Doris George in Georgetown, British Guiana.

She left Guyana in the early 60s to live in Trinidad, before immigrating to Montreal, Canada in 1966. She then migrated to Toronto in 1968.

She had a long career with the Ontario Provincial Government, was an active organiser, leader and charity fundraiser in her community.

She met Lionel in Toronto and they married in July 1972.  Their only child, Celeste, was born in 1976.

Elaine Norma was predeceased by her mother Doris George, sister Joyce Cummings Peters and nephew Claude.

She is survived by husband of 50 years Lionel Wentt. Daughter Celeste, her partner Gilbert, and grandson, Xavier Andrews. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Winston George, his children, grandchildren and his wife Shirley. Her sister Joyce’s sons, Andre, Colin and Mark and their children.
