Obituary of Mr. Joshua Arsenio
JOSHUA ANTHONY ARSENIO
December 17, 1981 - April 23, 2023
Joshua Arsenio, aged 41, of Pickering and Toronto, Ontario, passed away suddenly in San Francisco on April 23, 2023.
Joshua was a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was impeccably groomed, consistently hilarious, and a killer cook who had finally mastered the perfect Portuguese feijoada. He will be missed terribly by all who loved him, and you'd be very hard-pressed to find a single person who didn't love him.
An early riser, Joshua brought his wife a latte in bed every single morning. He took his children and his nephew to Skyzone for five consecutive days during March Break. He painstakingly cared for a fish in a basement aquarium, even though the fish was a total jerk who ate other fish. While undeniably a leather jacket-wearing "cool guy," Josh was also openly and unashamedly a softie. He told his wife and kids that he loved them multiple times each day, and took great pride in taking care of them. He and his wife had just purchased a vacation home in Portugal, and the family was very excited about spending time there.
Josh was a beloved employee of Kroll Risk and Financial Advisory Solutions as well as a passionate hobbyist. He gardened, kept backyard chickens, made his own moonshine in a copper still, and scattered vending machines filled with Pokemon cards around Toronto.
He is survived by his wife Amy Arsenio (Dolmer); his children Hank and Joe; his parents Charlene (Smith) and Carlos Arsenio; his grandmother Elsie Taylor; his siblings Angela (Dean Pedro), Priya (Hugo Matos), and Jessia; his nieces and nephews Aidan, Aubree, Alijah, Avelina, Mack and Maeva; as well as his in-laws Jim and Diana Dolmer, Kate Lawrence (Dolmer), and Ryan Lawrence.
The family will receive friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Tuesday May 9th, from 5 - 8 p.m. A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday May 10 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ogden Chapel.
Interment at St. John's Norway Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to CAMH: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
