Obituary of Ms. Glycis Elaine Bart

We are saddened to announce the passing of Elaine Bart (Glycis) on Thursday April 27, 2023, at the age of 87. Elaine passed away surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Den Amstel, Guyana on February 29, 1936. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and mother to three sons and a grandmother to one granddaughter.

She completed her studies in Surrey, England. She graduated with exceptional honors in Psychology.  She worked as an RN nurse for over twenty years. She had the honor to present a bouquet of flowers to the Queen of England in Toronto.

She enjoyed gardening when she retired at the age of 70. She was recognized for her work, winning the Garden award in her neighborhood.

Elaine was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She opened her heart and her home to many people over the years. Elaine, you will be sadly missed.

Our family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Michael Garron Hospital. The care Elaine received was comfortable and peaceful.

If you would like to pay your respects, you are more than welcome to join us as we celebrate her life during the visitation at Odgen Funeral Home, on Friday May 12 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral Service in the Ogden Chapel on Saturday May 13 at 1:00 p.m.
