Elma 'Marva' Thompson, a loving Daughter, Niece, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend passed on March 30th, 2023 at the age of 67 at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Born to Aletha Williams and Zephaniah Harris on March 22, 1956 in St. Mary Parish in Jamaica, Elma was also an adored niece to her paternal Uncle Benniah Harris and his wife Marie Harris. Elma migrated to Canada to create better opportunities for her family and now leaves behind her three loving children; Karen Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Karese Thompson and their loving father Headley Thompson.

Elma was a devoted Christian and member of the Meadowvale East Apostolic Church who served her community as a kind and caring Personal Support Worker. Elma's passion for creating was evident in each garment that she skillfully tailored. She also spent her spare time gardening and caring for her plants. Elma was always eager to lend a helping hand in any way she could. Her smile and laughter will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.

Elma is survived by her three children and her six adoring grandchildren; Kacy Ann, Kayanna, Kamille, Olivia, Zayi and Khaleesi.

A visitation will take place on Sunday April 23rd at Ogden Funeral Homes at 4164 Sheppard Avenue E, Scarborough, Ontario, M1S 1T3, Canada from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm  

The viewing (10:00 am) and funeral (11:00 am) will be held on Monday April 24th at Meadowvale East Apostolic Church at 1510 Warden Avenue in Scarborough. A burial will follow at Duffin Meadows (Pickering, Ontario).
