Many fond memories of a Lady (yes, with a capital L) who was kind, generous, funny, and a wonderful person. My mother was fortunate to have such a good friend. As a child, I always looked forward to visits with Irene and Jim, who treated kids as individuals worthy of their attention. Both were a really fine example of how to live life well. The community was so privileged to have Irene. We all benefitted from her presence, positivity and sharing joy. My parents were good friends of Jim and Irene, we all knew each other in many ways at different times as families. Condolences to Jim, Margaret, Paul, Lisa, Virginia, my old school friend Stephen and all of the families.

I (We) are sending heartfelt condolences to all of the Gibson Family on their loss. "Mrs. Gibson" was a remarkable woman who always offered a kind, generous and genuine welcome on many, many after school visits. Frequent conversations about local news or of memories from days in Winnipeg and Flin Flon were always interesting and informative. Her baked goods and granolas were often a special treat! Her incredible smile is what will really be missed! It will also be how we remember her most!
