My handsome big brother…
I will miss your cheesy sarcasm and the many stories you always had to tell. Unfortunately, circumstances out of our control separated our family so many years ago, but I never forgot you were my big brother. I held on to the memories and will continue to do so. Our family chain is broken and you may not be here on earth, but you will live on in our hearts forever. ❤️

Dale Dusome - Eulogy
Hi everyone, my name is Emily, and Dale was my Manager at Dufflet Pastries on Yonge street, where I worked as his Assistant Manager for many years. To this day, Dale is one of the kindest and most loving people I’ve ever known, and is still the best boss I’ve ever been fortunate to have.
He was more than a boss for me though - he was a friend, a mentor, and at times, like a second Father. I often called him “Daddy” as a bit of a joke, but there was truth in it for me - he was like a second Dad to me all those years at Dufflet pastries.
As his employee and friend, I was consistently inspired by his kindness, humour, integrity, and incredible work ethic. On one level, Dale managed a bakery. But on another level - what we REALLY did - was that he built a community and a family that devotedly gathered around him. People wanted to follow his lead and be close to him, because he made people feel valued, loved, and appreciated.
I am not joking when I say that Dale had fan-girls come in every single day to see him at Dufflet. He had groupies. He was that popular. It’s because he gave people a sense of belonging and connection, and helped people to feel cared for. All through a cup of coffee, some cake, and good-hearted conversation.
Dale loved Bruno deeply, and I feel so fortunate to have witnessed his deep love and affection for his beloved husband. It was true love, fierce love, and a love that knew no bounds. What a gift it was to be a flower girl at their wedding, and to host their engagement party in my parents’ backyard.
I will always remember Dale as a community leader, a family man, and someone who cared a lot about the people around him. While I feel deeply sad for this loss, I know that Heaven has gained an incredible Angel and Ancestor. My heart goes out to Bruno during this time, and to all of Dale’s family.

Q: What will you never forget about Mr. Dale?
A: What will we not forget about you Uncle Dale….
Like many know who have met you, you would always break the silence in the room with a joke to make everyone laugh. Your humour and smile was infectious to us all.
Your endless amount of stories were always a hit and would literally have us in tears lol. No one could ever top the stories from Uncle Dale.
Your wisdom on life itself was pure and from the heart. Either at moms kitchen table around everyone or the one on ones in the living room.
Your compassion for others was undeniable.
Your love for your family and especially your love for Bruno was so heartwarming.
As a little girl it was always Uncle Dale and Bruno and as it will always be.
Watching the scary movies as a little girl with you Uncle and with Bruno was always a highlight for me, yes there was scary scenes but I knew I was safe with the both of you by my side.
I will always hold our last conversation in my heart forever and I am so thankful for everything you said to me.
Uncle Dale you were more than just an Uncle to me, you were a father figure, a role model, hard work ethic enforcer and a friend and I am so blessed my kids had you in their life as well as you are truly a blessing.
Our family had this bond and still to this day regardless if you are not here physically with us, our bond is here and strong, silent knowledge.
We will all carry on your traditions with the bottomless Ceaser’s and of course extra spicy!! And we will always be there for Uncle Bruno, as he knows we are family and family is Bond ❤️ Forever.
Until we meet again, rest easy and know everything is going to be okay.
Love you and miss you, forever in my heart

We appreciated all the love and support that everyone has shown us thru this very difficult time.
My brother was a joker , he had this very unexpected humour , wether you were sad or upset he would say something to get you to smile or laugh .
You could always count on him to help in any way that he could even it was to just listen , I know that I will miss these moments with him dearly.
He loved being around family at all the special occasions , such as Christmas, thanksgiving, birthdays etc. He would often share many many stories or memories with his nieces , nephews , great nieces and great nephews. He was so loved by them , I know this because when there was a special occasion coming coming up the first thing the nieces , nephews , great nieces and great nephews would ask was “ Is Uncle coming ?? He was the highlight of the occasion ,
He will truly missed by us all , but never forgotten, I’m sure at any of the occasions coming up or thru the years the conversations will go like “ remember when uncle said this or remember when uncle did this
Love you Brother XOXO
Your big sister

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to all the family. I have known Dale and Bruno for many years. Dale was always very kind and such a hard worker. He was always friendly when around him, and the kids always loved Uncle. What a shocker of a loss, however, we know, he will forever remain in everyone’s heart. RIP Dale. Love and hugs to you all during this very difficult time. (Nana) Lulu Hill
