Veronica and I have been friends since in St.Vincent, our homeland. We were actually Civil Servants together at the Education Department there. Here, in Canada and the US our families developed a beautiful relationship. I last saw Veronica and Kara at my youngest daughter's wedding in 2019. We were so happy to see them! We miss you dear and lovely friend. Take your rest. Kara your mom, friend and travelling partner has departed, but hold on to the sweet memories; let them be your points of solace. Kara, you are not alone; we will all lift you up. Fr. Colville & family.

I can vaguely remember the face of Cora, whom I considered to be a quiet, pleasant and somewhat unassuming young lady. She left our shores and migrated to North America when I was a boy. I can not recall seeing her thereafter, but I have, nonetheless, had the opportunity to speak about her on several occasions within the context of the Peters family. I am indeed saddened by her passing and, therefore, extend to her family my deepest condolences. May her soul rest in peace.

Her docile Smile!
As her docile smile spreads on her face,
Those pearly-white teeth so-erectly placed,
One can feel the warmth of her true embrace,
As she thank God for all his grace.
Her eyes, they speak a silent word,
One does not wander within her world.
“Girl, come for your hug”—as she would say—
(With a smile)
“Today is the day we’ve all heard about.”
Overwhelmed by her love as she whispers the word,
“God loves you, girl, hold faith, just hang on.
Heaven is nearer than we may have thought—
It is all about love as we have been taught.”
As she holds my hand and with humility she stands,
I can hear the word flows straight from her heart–
“God, I love you so and for all that you’ve done.
I can feel your grace deep down in my heart.”
“You are here, I know, ’cause I can see the glow.
The reflection of your light has stolen the show.
Rejoice, oh people, and unite in one row.
This’d a blessing to be part of this picture show.”
Her warmth, her cheers, has overcome her smears.
Her approach to life was so gracefully shared.
Her burden she carried through Christ’s care.
She is a beacon, a mentor, as she leaves here.
Oh, how fortunate we are to be touched by her hands.
Let’s rejoice and be glad to have been her fan.
Let’s sing for joy and clap our hands,
For it is her request that we be as grand.
As she shakes and move with heart-full delight,
And her teeth glitter between her gorgeous smiles,
She says, “So long, my dears, it’s the end of my mile.

I used to work with Cora's daughter, Kara. She was such a fun and witty human being!! I saw how close she was to her mummy! The bond was unbreakable! I wish you health and strength during this difficult time. Mummy Cora, SIEP! ❤

My condolences to Cora's family especially her daughter. I met Cora when I was a visitor to Canada in the 90's and spent 2 weeks at her apartment. She was such a kind and welcoming person. She treated me like a sister and made sure my stay was comfortable. The hospitality was exceptional for someone she just met. I pray for comfort for the family and may the joyous memories of her wipe away the tears and put a smile on your face.
