Obituary of Mrs. Mignonne Osborne

Mignonne Osborne- February 19, 1927 – February 28, 2023

Mignonne leaves behind her daughters Pearl Chandler, Pansy Osborne-Inniss; sons-in-law, Peter Chandler and Edson Inniss; grandsons Attlee and Jermaine Chandler; Great Grandsons Angelo, Darius, Kameron, extended family and many of her very dear friends both in Barbados and Canada.

Mignonne was born in Demerara, Guyana, where she married the father of her daughters, the late Jonathan Thomas Osborne. They later moved to Grenada where her daughters Pansy and Pearl were born. They resided for many years in Grenada, after which the family moved to Barbados where Mignonne spent most of her life. On the passing of her late husband Jonathan in Barbados, Mignonne continued to single-handedly raise her daughters with such love, devotion, strength and determination, she made sure that they grew up with morals, kindness and a good education, nothing was too much for her daughters. Mignonne later immigrated to Canada, where she first resided and worked as a nurse in Ottawa and Quebec before moving to Toronto where she had the pleasure of welcoming and helping to raise her treasured grandsons Attlee and Jermaine Chandler.

Mignonne was a beautiful soul. She was full of life and loved life, she was kind hearted, determined, strong and possessed a sense of humor that all who got to meet her thoroughly enjoyed. She was so loved by everyone who got to know her and will be greatly missed. May her soul rest in peace.
