ANGELO SABINO OBITUARY

SABINO, ANGELO ROMAN It is with great sadness we announce the loss of our beloved Angelo, on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1929. He passed peacefully (Toronto, Ontario), with his wife by his side and in the company of his family, at 93 years old. Forever remembered by his wife, Angela Sabino (nee Luciani); his children, Maria (Tony), predeceased by Michael (1987), and Frank (Andrea). Loving Nonno to Angelica, Ava and Michael. He will be missed by so many relatives and friends. Angelo was a wise, quiet and humorous man. He loved all the simple things in life, done well. Born in Rome, Italy, he grew up in Modugno, Bari, Italy. He came to Canada at 22 years old. He quickly picked up the English language. When he met his wife, he worked at the Ford Motor Company. He then decided to carve out his own path as an entrepreneur in the restaurant business. He opened up Donlands Fish and Chips and then moved on to pizza shops, Angelo's Pizza, Sorrento Pizza. Everything he did was self-taught to perfection. He enjoyed cooking classic Italian food for his family and making his own wine. Angelo's passion was his garden and beautiful fig trees. He and his wife, Angela, enjoyed many travels down south together. Funeral services are at OGDEN FUNERAL HOME, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Ontario, Canada M1S1T3 Visitation, Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
