I have been cutting Giorgio’s hair for over 40 years. He was a very gentle, kind and all around good guy. We enjoyed talking about soccer and had a shared interest in our favourite team, Juventus. I will miss him very much. May he rest in peace. I wish to extend my deepest condolences to his family.

It is with a heavy heart that George's neighbours Kathy, Frank and family send our deepest condolences to the Civello family and friends. We considered George more than a friend and neighbour, he was a long time family member on Valdor Drive. We will keep fond memories of George close to us during this difficult time. It's not surprising to see why George was held in such high regard and truly loved by his family and friends. May you rest in peace George, God bless.

There are no words that can adequately describe how much my dear Uncle George was loved and how much he will be missed by not only myself, but all those who were blessed enough to know him. He made an immeasurable impact on my life, and because of that, he took a part of me with him when he left us.
My Uncle George was one of the kindest, funniest, most selfless souls to ever grace this world. He would do absolutely anything for his family and friends, and I will never forget the countless times he made me laugh with his funny catchphrases: "That's bananas," "That's a good shot," "Ask Mr. Google," and so many more.
My childhood and young adulthood were full of fun times with my Uncle George. I remember going to the house to enjoy big pasta lunches with him, my Nonna, my Aunt Frances, and any other family that could join. I have many fond memories of laughing and joking around the dining room table, and of my Uncle George making sure everyone ate enough food and drank enough wine (even the young ones).
I also remember my Uncle George's love for sharing his passions and teaching me new things. He greatly enjoyed math and puzzles, and he would always walk me through math problems and show me new math tricks he learned. Furthermore, my Uncle George had a deep love and appreciation for Sicilian culture, and he kept me connected with my Sicilian roots by exposing me to everything from the Sicilian language to Sicilian food, music, symbols, superstitions, and landmarks/landscapes. I will never forget him telling me stories about his childhood in Sicily, him bringing me books about how to learn Sicilian, my trips with him to Francesca's Bakery, and dancing to "Mi Scappa La Pipi" in his living room. I can't wait to go to Sicily myself someday; I know he will be watching from above with a smile.
My Uncle George and I had a special love for each other that went beyond an Uncle-Niece relationship. I will always remember when he framed a picture of me and wrote "Next Miss Canada" on the bottom, displaying it prominently in the house. I will always remember when he asked for a CD of the song I recorded and a copy of the lyrics so he could sing it in his car (the one time I tried singing). I always remember when he gifted me that car so I would have a reliable vehicle to take to and from my university classes. Most of all, I will always remember his warm hugs and kisses, and how he would always call me his "Little One."
I have never felt a pain quite like the pain I feel from the loss of my dear Uncle George. However, I know that he will continue to live on in my heart forever and always. Whenever I drive through Scarborough, I will think of him. Whenever I'm doing math or a puzzle, I will think of him. Whenever I travel to Italy, I will think of him. I will share these stories with my own children someday, and tell them just how special my Uncle George truly was and always will be. I will hang on to all the wonderful memories I have of him and remember that, one day, we will be reunited again.
I hope you're laughing and joking around the heavenly dining room table with Nonna, Aunt Frances, and all of our loved ones who have left this world. See you later, Uncle George.
Love always,
Hannah (Your Little One)

I will always remember your super power hugs and kisses.
You shared with us your interest in culture, and passion for music and books.
Our memories our filled with beautiful and fun moments with you, taking us to visit places, playing games, listening to music, or just being together and talking about life.
You will be terribly missed.
With you a part of my childhood goes. I will find comfort in your love that will remain forever.
Thank you Uncle George for making us feel so special in your eyes.

“O God, you are the God of blessing. As Paul wrote, you have ‘blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.’* I ask that the blessings of these verses would be true for my friend.

The icon of the Civello Brothers, My Uncle George. Growing up he not only was an awesome uncle but was there for everyone and made a tremendous impact in everyone's lives. My heart aches in sadness but the memories I have in my heart with my Uncle George will last me till we meet again. From School events, to sporting events, helping with home work, playing Bocce in the park and bike riding with my dad and I, my Uncle George was so great to share those times with. We will miss you so much Uncle George and love you for eternity..Give my best to Mom and Dad Uncle George, looking forward to a game of Bestia when we meet again. Love Mark, Steph, Brooklyn and Luke.
