A humble and unpretentious educational leader who served faithfully Catholic education. In an unassuming manner Joe always left us with a clear message of compassion and human love. He will be deeply missed by his colleagues and friends. We pray for his perpetual soul in heaven.

Joe gave me my first teaching job at St Joseph Commercial High School in 1978. I was very lucky to experience Joe's collegial leadership. He empowered his teachers by trusting in their ability and listening to their input. When I would hear other teachers talk about the top-down leadership at their schools, I knew how lucky the staff of St Joe's was to have Joe as principal. When the school's name was undergoing a change, the staff was sometimes frustrated by the number of meetings we had to endure. When the staff finally agreed upon Thomas Merton Secondary as the school's new name, a true act of consensus had been achieved under Joe's leadership. Joe was a caring, supportive man of faith; I am grateful to have known him.

Joe Molinari was the best of Catholic Education - he not only talked the talk but he walked the walk. As a young person at St.Barnabas I grew up hearing Joe and Mary Ann proclaim God's word so beautifully as lectors. When I became a lector myself I was immensely touched by his desire to see the young people of our parish flourish as leaders. Even though he was sought after for so many privileged positions, he'd always offer to step aside so that someone else could grow in their ministry. That kind of humility is rare - and even more powerful from someone so accomplished. His passionate pursuit of his own spiritual growth was also a great gift to everyone around him - he never stopped learning and he never stopped teaching. He has planted so many good seeds and now God will be able to show him the fruits of his labour and hear the words we all long to hear: Well done good and faithful servant. Praying for the repose of Joe's soul and the consolation of all those who loved him.

To the Molinaris & Extended Family Members.
Sam and I wish to express our sincere condolences on the passing of Joe, our dear brother in Christ. Please know that you are in our prayers at this difficult time as you grieve your loss.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained faithful. And now the crown awaits me…” 2Timothy 4:7
The Hindi Poet: Rabindranath Togore (1861-1942 )wrote:
“Death is not extinguishing of the light, but blowing out of the candle, because the dawn has come. I have got my leave, bid me farewell my loved ones. The lamp that lit my corner is out. A summons have come and I am ready for my journey.”
Joe has now completed his earthly sojourn, and a job well done. And so while we are sad on this side the angels are rejoicing , on his arrival home, where he will rejoin his beloved Mary Ann. But when we lose the friendship, of a man of God, a mentor, his spiritual guidance and teachings, his radiant smile, soft spoken and great delivery of a joke, those memories will forever linger on.
But remember “Those We Love Don’t Go Away They Walk Beside Us Every Day Still Missed And Forever Dear.”
“We will hold them close within our hearts, and there they will remain,
To walk us throughout our lives, until we meet again, ”Rest in Peace…”

Joe was a good guy and always a pleasure to talk to. He will be well missed by our lay Carmelite fraternity in Scarborough.
My wife and I have been praying for him and I did enrol his name at the Shrine of Knock in Ireland, where Masses will be offered throughout the year for him.
Rest in peace Joe. Pax et bonum.
