Maria Gomes passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 at Scarborough Centenary Hospital in Toronto. She is survived by her children Karen (Robert) Anderson, Kevin and Klein, brothers Felix (Stella) Pires and Tony (Carol) Pires, and sister Clara (Peter) D’cunha. She is also survived by her grandchildren Shawn and Daniel, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.  She was preceded in death by her husband Camilo, parents Francisco and Paulina Pires, sister Shilu (Joaquim) D’cunha and brother Salvador.

 

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23rd, 2022 from 12pm – 2:00pm at Ogden Funeral Homes, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario M1S 1T3.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
