Obituary of Ms. Madonis Doctrove
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Madonis “Mado” Elizabeth Doctrove nee Anselm on December 6th, 2022. A caring mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Born in the Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies Mado was well known as an Entrepreneur in both Dominica and Canada. Mado loved spending time in the kitchen and showed love through her hands. She is well known in her Dominican community for making black pudding, crab back and pepper sauce. Mado is survived by her children whom she adored Heddie Shillingford nee Doctrove and Garth Doctrove. Her grandchildren Kyle Doctrove, Nikki Shillingford, Cheyenne Shillingford, Tristan Shillingford and Kyle Doctrove. Her great-grandchildren Ace Frederick and Nathan Rouslton. Her brother Griffin, brother-in-law Davidson Elie, Davina Elie-Cuffy, Derek Elie, David Elie and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is gone but will never be forgotten. No longer living in this world, but always and ever near.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on December 16, 2022 at St. Aidan Roman Catholic Church at 3501 Finch Avenue East in Scarborough ON. Visitation will be held on Thursday December 15, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
