Obituary of Mrs. Rose Roopnauth-Ramdayal
In loving memory of Rose Surujini Devi Roopnauth - Ramdyal, also known as Mama Rose.
Rose passed away at Centenary Hospital on Dec 08, 2022, after a prolonged illness. She remained steadfast in her faith during these painful months, loving her lord, and singing God's praises.
After raising her family in Guyana, Rose migrated to Canada and spent her time lovingly caring for her grandchildren. Her faith has been a rock and foundation of her life, and she instilled these values and beliefs to the rest of her family. She greatly valued her extended family members who have been part of her life and her home was always open and welcoming to all.
Rose was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, beloved aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and cousin.
Daughter of the late Roopnauth Ricknauth and Betty Roopnauth of Berbice Corentyne.
Daughter-in-law of the late Phagoo and Dhanpatia Ramdyal of Newtown Enmore.
Wife to Basil Ramdyal and mother to Richard Dravid, Camille Ramdyal, Dionne Susty, and Peter Ramdyal.
Grandmother to Annabelle, Liam, and Cyrus Dravid, Emily and Logan Susty, Jubal, Isabella, and Nolan Ramdyal.
Mother-in-law to Jennifer Osman, Ian Susty, and Devina Ramdyal.
Sister to Violet Jacob and Pansy Roopnauth (deceased), Raymond Roopnauth, Hyacinth Manickchand (deceased), Gloria Roopnauth, and Elenor Saffee.
Sister-in-law to William Jacob, Jenny Roopnauth, Shakir Saffee, Deodat Ramdyal, Cycil and Noreen Ramdyal, Data and Michael Persaud, Seeta and Nizam Yusuf (deceased), Hardat and Zabeeda Ramdyal, Hildat and Nalini Ramdyal, Krisendat Ramdyal (deceased), Jaidat and Shanaz Ramdyal, and Judy Rhodes.
