Obituary of Mrs. Katina Tsinokas

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Katina Tsinokas (nee Kotsopoulos) at the age of 89.
A loving wife of 69 years to Angelo. Proud mother of Mary (Bob), Vasile (Debra), Pat (Vlado), (Heidi) predeceased by George. Cherished Baba to Jason, Jeff (Andie), Natasha (Trevor), Philip (Laura), Victoria (Sean), Spenser, Emily, Nadia, Steven and treasured great Baba to Ellie.
Katina was born on October 6, 1933 in the village of Vevi, Florina, Greece. Daughter to Anastasios and Stravoula, sister to Gerasimos, Nick and predeceased by Stella and Alex.
Married to the love of her life in 1953 and immigrated to Canada in 1957 in search for a better life. Katina was a proud, loving, hard-working and strong-willed woman. A devoted wife, mother and Baba who enjoyed cooking, baking and spent countless hours crocheting and knitting. Her greatest joys and cherished memories were family celebrations and get togethers.
She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She will live forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at Ogden Funeral Homes, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Scarborough on Thursday, December 1st, from 4 to 8pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 2nd, 11am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3840 Finch Ave East, Scarborough. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Scarborough Health Network – Birchmount Hospital.
