Obituary of Mrs. Beverley Dyer

Beverley Yvonne Strachan Dyer passed away tragically and suddenly November 17th, 2022, at the age of 66 years old surrounded by her family and friends. Beverley was born June 6th, 1956, in Lewis Store St. Mary, Jamaica to father Michael Wilmut Strachan and Mother Evelyn Melsadie Strachan Hylton. Growing up in Jamaica she attended Bromley Government School. She graduated in 1971 at age 16 shortly before her arrival to Canada on September 7th, 1973, at 17 years old. In Canada she attended Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute and began working after graduating. Beverley enjoyed working and wanted to start working after completing school. She worked numerous jobs but found success working at CTI industries for over 20 years. She got married in December of 1982 to her husband Derrick Dyer to whom she was married to for 39 years. Beverley was a devoted mother to her three sons Curtis, Derrick Jr., and Kevin. She was also a loving aunt and grandmother to her seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. Beverley loved being in the company of family and friends and enjoyed events and social gatherings. She found pride in cooking Sunday meals for her family and looked forward to it every weekend. She was very loyal and would do anything for her family without thinking twice. Beverley made an impact on those around her. She inspired those around her to live in the moment and to spend quality time with family. Beverley will be missed very much by her family and friends. May her impact and legacy live on forever.
