Anthony (Tony) Augustus Mahoney

(March 18,1950-November 24, 2022)

Passed in peace on Thurs Nov 24th, 2022 @5:00am at the age of 72

He was surrounded by his wife, 2 sons, grandchildren and daughter-in-law at his bedside.

Anthony was preceded in death by his mother Monica Lee, brother George, sisters Leonie and Dorothy and is survived by his wife Coleen, sons Conrad, Andrew and Kevin, daughter-in-law Kerri, his grandkids Tryston, Essence, Kayne, Janee and his remaining siblings Dudley, Norma, Linda, Camella, Mary and his nieces and nephews.

Anthony was born in Kingston, Jamaica and later moved to Toronto to start a new life with his wife and kids at 24 years old.

Anthony worked as a Machine Operator until his retirement early last year.

Tony as he was fondly called by his friends and family was a man of very few words but when he did speak people listened and was a jokester at heart. He was an avid Horse racing lover and could always be found at the Off track every weekend betting on the ponies as well as playing the lottery (always thinking he would hit the big one with one or the other). Additionally, he loved watching kung fu, and action movies and could always be found in the kitchen cooking. He was very kind and generous, always willingly giving advice and help when needed. He loved his music and often tried to dance (his old school funky moves) that we will now have so many memories of.

Dad we love you and will miss you dearly and I quote one of your famous sayings ”what you have for me” with your hand forever out. May you rest in peace.
