Alissa,
In a way, you were the big sister I never had. By proxy, the influence you had on Christina made its way to me. The fashion choices we laugh at today were haute couture inspired by you first- bumpits, cheatah print, Duff puffs, low rise bell bottom jeans. You helped shape Christina for high school by clarifying what NOT to do (or wear), and that rippled over to me.
I have memories of everything from family dinners and driving around Pickering, to playing bingo. I still laugh at the fact that you gave me a fake ID of an Indian woman with died blonde hair when I was 16 – as if we looked alike in the slightest. I think you also secured an immigration card for Christina… how?!?! The thing that I will remember the most is your sense of humor. You made me laugh so hard with your dry humour and critique on the world’s ridiculousness.
I know Liberty Village won’t be the same without you, and neither would my experience growing up by Christina’s side. Thank you for watching over us, you are so loved.

Alissa was a really good friend to me, and I will always remember her funny, witty, sense of humour and our love for crafting rocks and the mentality of 'live love beach'. She will be forever missed in my heart. My favourite memory is going to my moms cottage with Alissa and spending the weekend laughing, kayaking, and spending quality time together on the dock. My deepest condolences to Alissa's family. She will be deeply deeply missed

I'm grateful to have been befriended and to have worked alongside Alissa David when she and I both worked at Softchoice. I was her primary dog sitter for Myla the 'Party Pup'. Alissa would always drop what she was doing to lend her teammates a hand. She was both hilarious and intelligent. Alissa loved people, socializing, and was full of life. This is deeply saddening. My sincerest condolences to the David family. My heart goes out to you all.

Philip, Linda and Christina - my heart broke when Brian told me about the passing of Alissa.
Although I haven't seen her since she was young - I do remember her well and was always impressed with her intelligence, her great manners and her ability to fit in - even with us adults. I was sure her future would be bright - so it saddens me to hear it was cut short - far too short.
I wish you all strength during this terrible time.
I wish you all understanding - maybe God just wanted her to come home.

Though we just met Alissa at Philip's recent birthday party, she was just exuded fun and friendliness to us, mere strangers to her. We immediately felt drawn to Alissa's joy being amongst her loving parents, sister and aunts. Alissa's passing is so tragic, but her 'joie de vie', adventurous spirit and kindness lives on in the hearts and memories of her family and all those who had the privilege to know her.
