Obituary of Ms. Winsome Etoy Dunn
Winsome Etoy Dunn was a caring mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world suddenly on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, aged 75 surrounded by loved ones.
Winsome was born to Byron and Clarissa Dunn on June 11, 1947, in Aberdeen, Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica.
She migrated to Canada in 1971 where she attended Centennial College and successfully gained employment at Rockcliffe Nursing Home where she served there dutifully for more than 30 years.
She leaves behind her one and only daughter (Nadine), granddaughters (Reina & Mia), siblings (Una, Myrl, Inez, Carl, Barry, Linden, Joan), deceased siblings (Edna, Carl, Uton, Kitson) and close loved ones.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Winsome.
She was a woman of God and worship; having had a love and appreciation for listening to the Gaithers every Friday night.
She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities and those that she chose to surround herself with.
Winsome dedicated her life to her family and the Lord, a humble and soft-spoken woman rejoicing in taking care of others.
In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and creating the most intricate and beautiful pieces.
One of her greatest loves, centered around the beauty found in florals. She spent countless days walking through Edwards Garden, visiting vineyards, and picking fruits and vegetables at the farm.
Winsome leaves behind a legacy of love.
A funeral service is scheduled at Scarborough Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. (more details below).
As an homage to her love of flowers, we welcome family and friends to wear pastel colours.
