Our sincere condolences go out to Maureen's family. We shared many a good time with Maureen and Ron touring Europe for 28 days and also time in Florida when they visited Carol and Paul. We had lots of giggles over a drink Jim owed her. She was a wonderful woman and will be sadly missed. Sharon and Jim Stevens

My sincere condolences to Mr. McKay, Julie, Jennifer, Joanne and their families. My parents have been friends with Ron and Maureen since before I was born. Over the years I have heard many stories about the good times and wonderful vacations they have spent together. Thank you for enriching my parents lives with your friendship. It is something they will keep close to their hearts forever.

My Family and I wish to send our condolences to Mr.McKay, Joanne, Emily, Jordan, Julie, Jennifer and Families. I had the great pleasure of getting to know Maureen by working with Joanne for over 28 years. I loved when Maureen occasionally call the office and I had the pleasure to talk with her. Maureen also blessed our Centre by playing Mrs. Claus. She was adorable and could come across on the naughty list. Maureen was definitely one-of-a-kind and she will be truly missed. Our families have been friends for over 50 years. It began when Maureen and Carol met as teachers at Secord School in East York. Throughout those years we have had many wonderful times together. These memories and your amazing friendship will be cherished forever. Carol & Paul Heckendorn

Mrs. Mckay, although she would say call me Maureen, hard to switch since since I have known Maureen for almost my entire life, becoming best of friends with her daughter Jennifer in grade 2. Maureen was like a second mother to me, and always so supportive. From when we were kids running track and field, to middle school with band concerts, to the many weekend nights I crashed at the McKay’s after a fun night out. Her arms were always open, and she made me feel welcome and a part of the family. Jennifer, Joanne and Julie all have a little of Maureen’s spirit and heart in who they are today. She holds a special spot in my heart and always will. She made such a difference in my life and in many others - I will miss her. To Julie, Joanne, Jennifer, and your families, my sincere condolences and love.
