My friend June....I was away in Guyana during the pandemic and since my return to Toronto,I tried to find her number but couldn't...Today I Google again only to find an obituary....It hit me soo hard...how I wish I had connected sooner...I miss you, girl...we had so many chats and good times together! She used to cook for me when I was recovering from breast cancer...I went to her home after work..and shared the time with her mom and children....she was a BIG part of my recovery as I really needed the support ahead provided... How I wish I could have been there for her...Oh my friend, you were special! If her children should read this message?please contact me at 416-986-0100...it's Auntie Debbie ....remember me?

I will never forget the amazing childhood memories spending weekends by you and playing video games and eating snacks with Nyo. Horsing around in the basement at family parties and as the years went on, hanging out in that family room that always felt like home. You always had amazing music, great stories and positive vibes when we would visit. You were always the first to call me out when I arrived at you - offer me a drink (and have one with me) and shortly there after tell me there was BBQ pork or another one of my favs on the kitchen counter.
We are shocked and devastated. I still can't believe it that you're not here with us but I'm going to play this forward knowing you'd want us to continue to live and make merry. You will always live on in Nyo and Lara and you raised two amazing adults who I am proud to call my first cousins. I love you and miss you very much Aunty Junie.

Auntie Nunie you came into my life from the very beginning. I’ve spent countless hours with you and Auntie Maureen dancing and listening to music, cooking and looking out the window of 9N when you all lived there! Every weekend I would tag along with all of you downtown to go shopping until you guys were exhausted! I would spend time with you, Uncle Em and the kids when you moved to Canada and then your family was brought into my life - and wow how I loved them all! I will no longer hear your cheerful voice greeting me on the phone-“Well Hello there Lisa Green at seventeen!” Will no longer hear your laughter or your stories and jokes but we will carry the memories with us forever! I am grateful that Emily and Gabby were able to meet you and have a piece of you in their lives as well! I am also happy Wayne was able to meet you and understand what you meant to me! It seems like a bad dream but I know unfortunately it’s not! Our hearts are broken in a million pieces and you have taken a huge piece with you - things will never be the same - but we will all keep you alive in our hearts and minds! I am beyond grateful to have known and love such a warm, kind-hearted, witty individual as yourself and super happy to have called you my aunt! Love you forever Auntie Nu - Always Lisa, Emily, Gabby and Wayne

To My Dearest Aunty June,
Knowing that you are gone leaves a huge hole in our hearts. I am so very grateful that Melaya and Nathan not only knew you but had their own very special relationship with you. You were a second mom to Brand and me and knowing that we can only rely on memories to hear your laughter, stories and quick wit is hard to bare. We will carry your light and love at every get together from here on, however they will never be the same without you. You always had a song for us at your house, a drink in our hand and our bellies were always full. Today, Aunty June, there is unbearable emptiness that we will have to carry now that you’re gone.
We miss you and love you forever Aunty Doh.

Cousin Junie and family were very kind to us when we all lived at Sheriff St late 60's through early 80s. Always happy and outgoing whenever I saw her on trips to Canada, which in retrospect were all too infrequent. God give the family strength to endure this difficult period. Godspeed and RIP Junie.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to June's children Larissa and Nyron and the rest of her family.
June's passing was indeed a shock. She was a loving, caring and remarkably strong individual. She was truly an inspiration. I am so proud to have known her and was blessed to have in my life.
June and I were inseparable throughout high school and remained close friends until her passing. She was not only my best friend but more like a sister.
Although we lived in different provinces, we remained close. The memories we shared will live on in my heart forever.
My beloved friend, may you rest in peace. And to her family, may the memories of her laughter and story telling give you comfort.

As kids growing up in Albion Front, our friendships were formed by where we lived, the common activities in which we participated such as Sunday school or church services, the schools we attended, kite-flying and such. In my family's friendship with Junie and her family, our fathers were both in the teaching profession and close "buddies". This close relationship gave rise to strong and enduring friendships amongst their children. And so, I was saddened to learn of Junie's passing from my brother, who was shocked at the suddenness of it all. Since then, my mind has flashed back many times to that little Junie who played with me and my dolls and my tea-sets in the early sixties. She was a lot of fun then, full of giggles and energy.as I recall. We did not see each other too many times in the last few decades, but I think of her as an unforgettable character in my life.
Rest in peace, my childhood friend and may "flights of angels sing thee to thy rest" Horatio in William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

We will always call your name, Junie. There are too many good gestures, however, for me the most important gesture came when you opened your home to me, Snookie, and Shawn back in 1998 when I was dreadfully ill. You took care of us all, made lunch for Shawn to carry to school, Junie always give from her heart, freely and sincerely.
Junie missed our wedding service because she and Sandra were too busy fixing up our cottage for the start of our new life in 1975. Again, always giving.
We will always call your name - Junie.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family at this sad time. I have known Junie since we were in primary school (6-7 years old) and our dads were great friends. Rags and Seeps were school teachers on the Corentyne and they continued their friendship when both families moved to Campbellville, Georgetown. Junie was always the live-wire of the group of friends we maintained, if not in person but by way of emails. We will miss her dearly for her quick wit and the happiness that emanated from her mere presence.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.

Beloved June,
We have known each other for over 19 years. We started as neighbors but over the years we have become dear friends and family.
We shared our joy and sorrow with one another. We used to help clean each other's driveways in bad snowstorms.
We always looked out for each other and our properties. We will miss all of our special secret chats that included eating, drinking, and much laughter. We are still in a state of shock and can not believe that you have parted from us. We will always continue looking out for you through your children- Nyron and Larissa. May God give them the strength, the courage, faith and guidance during this extremely difficult time. Wishing you to spread your beautiful wings in your new life. We miss you, we honor you and you will always be in our hearts.
