Obituary of Mrs. Trude Regner

Edeltrude (Trude) Regner (1928-2022)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful and kind hearted mother, Edeltrude (Trude) Regner. She passed peacefully on September 23, 2022 at the spectacular age of 94 with her 2 daughters by her side. 

She will be greatly missed by her 2 daughters, Linda (Joe Dykeman) and Yvonne (Mike Kimble) and her 2 grandchildren, Madison and Jonathan Dykeman, whom she adored. 

Words alone cannot express how heart broken we all are. Trude was a kind, caring, considerate and compassionate person. She was born on April 14, 1928 as Edeltrude Froehlich, in a small town outside of Salzburg, Austria, called Oberndorf.   Mom met dad, Johann Regner, in England in 1954 and immigrated to Canada in 1956. They married in 1958 and had their first daughter in 1966, followed by their second daughter in 1969.   There were many happy family trips and celebrations throughout our childhood. After many years in Etobicoke, the family moved to Scarborough where Trude lived for the past 44 years. 

Mom is now with dad who passed 13 years ago. They had a unique and deep love and are finally together again.
