Obituary of Mr. George Liddell

It is with great sadness that the family of George Samuel Liddell announce his passing on August 29, 2022 at the age of 84 from cancer at North York General Hospital.   Originally from Guyana, South America, George resided in Scarborough, Ontario.  George was married to his late wife, Lucy Liddell, for over 50 years.  George was a band saw operator who loved his family, music, and his car.  When teased about the order, George would always deny his family came third. George was generous towards his family and friends; supported various charities; and had an avid interest in sports, world news and politics. The third of seven children, George is survived by his three children, four grandchildren, two brothers and various cousins, nieces and nephews.  George is preceded by his wife Lucy; his son; his parents; his five siblings.  George was deeply loved and will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humour and all the love and support he provided to his late wife Lucy in her time of need.  George will be genuinely missed.  A viewing will be held for George Monday September 12, 2020 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Ogden Funeral Home in Scarborough, Ontario.  His funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 115 St. Andrews Road, Scarborough, Ontario.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
