Obituary of Mr. Neil Anthony Porteous
After a short illness, our father’s pain and suffering ended on August 14th, 2022. He was the son of Hezekiah and Beatrice Porteous of Bethel Town, Jamaica. He leaves his wife of 20 years Inez and his children Ivin/Mitzie (Husband) and Mark (Tricia) and his grandchildren Christian, Tia and Ty and his brother Stanhope. His Sisters Joyce and Cynthia and Brothers Syfret, Joslyn, Leroy and Boswell preceded him. He was beloved by his many nieces and nephews and other relatives. All who have very fond memories of him and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Dad worked on the trains for CN and Via Rail for over 30 years and loved every minute of it. He enjoyed playing dominoes and was an enduring fan of the Toronto Maples Leafs for many years. Our father loved the life he lived and lived the life he loved.
Godspeed dad. May your soul rest in peace until we meet again.
A celebration of Neil Anthony Porteous' life will be held at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough, ON M1S 1T3 on August 27th, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service is being planned at the Bethel Town Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Porteous Family Plot in Bethel Town, Westmoreland, Jamaica
