Obituary of Mr. Bill Zakinthinos

Bill Zakinthinos was a caring husband, loving father and grandfather.  He passed away with his wife and son by his side on Monday, August 1st 2022 at the age of 89.

He was born to Aristotle and Athena Zakinthinos on December 17th, 1932.  After the passing of his father at a very young age Bill started to work at the age of 13 as a carpenter to help care for his 6 brothers and sisters.  He married the love of his life in 1961 and immigrated to Canada the following year.  He came to Canada not speaking any English and with little money.  He managed to not only learn the language but flourish in his new home country.  In 1968 his only child was born.  As a proud grandfather he ensured that he was always there for them never missing an opportunity to play with his girls.  He cared deeply about friends and family and would always come to the aid of anybody in need.  

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years Anna; Son Aris and his wife Keri; grandchildren: Hannah, Sophie and Norah; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
