Obituary of Mrs. Pacita Unira

Please share a memory of Mrs. Pacita to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Pacita Unira on Monday, July 25, 2022, at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved  by her husband, Lamberto Unira for 50 years. Cherished by her children, Maria and George (Murti), Melissa and Mark, Jonathan and Helen, Stacey and Chrissy. Much loved grandmother to Alyssa, Jozen, Danielle, Dylan and Genevieve. She will be dearly missed by many friends and family in Canada, USA and Philippines.

With the warmth of sunshine, the intensity of a firecracker and a beautiful laugh, Pacita always made her presence felt and always lit up any room she entered. She lived for every moment. Celebrating every possible milestone to live life to the fullest. She loved to cook and dance, and hosting parties. She always pursued the sport of shopping, always ready for spontaneous road trip to the US to to find the best deals.

Pacita always lead by example, fiercely independent, compassionate and loyal. She joined her husband in Canada at only 21 to pursue a life of endless opportunities for her and her family.  While raising her children she attended night school to pursue a career in accounting.

She loved to  travel the world by plane and cruise ships. She shared her passion to travel with her family and friends, never missing opportunities to organize the next big adventure.

Pacita was so kind hearted, always opening her home to those in need.  She was always a shoulder to lean on. And nothing brought her more joy than knowing her family were happy and safe.

She will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
