Mrs. Lorna Fraser

Obituary of Mrs. Lorna Fraser

Please share a memory of Mrs. Lorna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Sunday, July 17, 2022, we said goodbye to Lorna Fraser.  No longer are we able to physically embrace her, but the moments we shared with her will forever touch our hearts.  Her smile and hugs were the essence of what drew people to her. She was the embodiment of love, joy, and peace. She lived her life unconditionally loving those around her.

Her compassion for others took her on a path to serve others.  She managed her own childcare services.  She went back to school to study Early Childhood Education in which she excelled and finished the top of her class.  She later took courses to become a Registered Nurse Assistant.  Her dedication to her patients usually ended up with her becoming an honorary member of the family.  She treated everyone with respect and love.

Lorna had many interests.  It was not uncommon for her trying something new. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, dancing, and singing just to name a few.  Many times, you would find her reading a medical book. She was the one person we went to when we did not feel well.

It has been over 60 years since she met the love of her life, Kenneth.  It was a love affair that was unbreakable to the end.  It was a partnership that was built on respect and strength.  They were able to rely on each other, knowing that they could handled whatever showed up. This was proven over the past 13 years, as she battled Dementia.  The one person that became her guardian and protector was Kenneth.   He was the Lead, supported by a family who cared greatly for her wellbeing during these times. Their relationship has been tested over the years but nothing greater than the past month and especially in the final hours.  The bond they shared was displayed as they held hands during every visit. That bond continues today as their love for one another lives on.

Lorna will continue to be loved by so many including her daughter, Lynn; her son-in-law, Nicola; her son, Kester; her daughter-in-law, Kimberly; her grandchildren: Sierra, Adyson and Mitchell; her sister, Leona and her nephew, Justin.

There are so many other family members and friends who have felt the loss of this wonderful woman.  We acknowledge their love during this time. We would not have been able to get through this period of our lives without the contribution and support of those who have reached out to us and/or have us in their prayers. We are so very grateful.

In honour of Lorna Fraser’s legacy, live your life to the fullest in Love, in Joy and in Peace.
