Obituary of Mr. William Lombard

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Lombard on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Scarborough Grace Hospital, peacefully with family at his bedside, he was 96 years old. Bill was born in Toronto on April 27th, 1926 to Silvio and Jennie Lombard. He was the eighth of eleven children. Bill married Margaret Foley, July 23rd, 1949. They shared a loving marriage for 73 years.

Bill is survived by his wife Margaret, their children Jackie,  Pat, Cathy (Tim), Mike (Sue) and John. He had five awesome grandchildren: Nigel, Rhiannon, Max, Josh and Sam.

Bill was and avid hockey player in his youth and enjoyed taking his family for camping vacations in the summer and of course BBQing hamburgers in the backyard. His hilarious stories of his youthful mischief brought endless laughter to our family. 

Bill was a valued employee at SKF in Scarborough for 48 years.

He was a gentle man and a great father. He will be dearly missed.

 The family would like to thank his dedicated caregivers Josie, Myra, Joan, Evangeline and Joseph who provided Bill much comfort in his final days
