Obituary of Mr. Jason Truong
Born 3rd March 1975, the loving Husband of Ann Nguyen, and the awesome Dad of Jonathan Truong (16) and Hannah Truong (11), passed away peacefully on 2nd June 2022 with his wife by his side.
Jason immigrated to Canada from Vietnam in 1982 and grew up in the Agincourt neighborhood with his parents and 3 older brothers. With a passion for sports and an active lifestyle, Jason was always on a sports team, from his days at the University of Waterloo all the way into his mid 30’s.
Jason was diagnosed with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy in 2010, which led to heart failure and a heart transplant in 2013. From then on, he was living on borrowed time. Yet during every stage of his journey, every stay in the ICU, and every knock on death’s door, Jason was determined to smile with an optimistic spirit, and never doubted that he was in the best hand of hands, the hand of God
On that fateful day, after almost 9 bonus-years with his family, Jason was finally called Home by his Lord. He had lived a life of resilience, perseverance, faithfulness, appreciation of life, generosity and caring. While we are sad to be separated from Jason, we rejoice in the legacy he left behind - Live by Faith, not by fear!
