Obituary of Mr. William Hendrie
We are saddened to announce that our friend, Bill Hendrie, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 1st 2022 at the age of 91.
Bill leaves behind his daughter and son, Linda and William, and was predeceased by his wife Molly. Bill shared the later part of his life with Margaret Love and her family in Toronto. They both loved golfing and traveling together. Bill had just recently had his knee operated on so that golfing this season would be more enjoyable.
During his working days, Bill was a licensed tradesperson in the sheet metal field. Some of his larger projects included the ROM and the Lake Louise Resort. His work took him places from Scotland to England, places in the States and finally Canada. He was also very involved in the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 30.
There is no formal service announced at this time. There will be golf game held in his honour this July (TBA). We will using his golf clubs and possibly telling some his best golf fibs on the course.
Bill will be missed.
