Obituary of Mrs. Marie Appoline Gobind

Marie Appoline Gobind was a caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and so much more to many others. She was born to Joseph Ogill and Agnes Ramnante on July 23, 1919 in Belle Vue, Vieux Fort, St Lucia. In the early 1940's she migrated by boat from St Lucia to Guyana. On Nov 8, 1944, Marie married Charlie Gobind (who preceded her in death in 2017) at Hague Catholic Church in Guyana. Together they had 4 children Vibart, Peter (who preceded her in death in 2011) Jimmy and Guy. In 1979, Marie and Charlie then migrated to Canada. She had an abundance of love for her 7 grandchildren Sandra, Junior, Vincent, Andrew, Chris, Christina and Anna. Marie was also blessed with 17 great grandchildren. On May 9, 2022 she was called by the Lord at the age of 102.
