The Boden and Gardner families have a long history together, starting with the friendship established by Nancy and Joyce (shown in the first picture together at the University of Western Ontario, 1954). In the late 1960s, the families became Bridlewood neighbours and fellow congregants at St. John's United, further strengthening the family ties. (A special gift every Christmas was the wonderful shortbread Nancy made.) The friendship has continued through the years and has included many visits and trips together (the second picture is from a visit to Lake Mazinaw, 2015). Our deepest sympathies.

To Glenn and all the family,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I have fond memories of her supply teaching at Anson Taylor when I was a teacher. As I remember a beautiful person on the inside and outside. May her memories may be a source of comfort and may she always remain dear to your hearts. My sincere sympathy to all.

I met Nancy and the Boden clan in 1970 when we moved in next door to them on Kilkenny. I have many memories of ball hockey and ping pong in the basement, or road hockey in the driveway followed by some sweet baked goods at the end of the game. I was also lucky enough to visit up at Mazinaw and sign the guest book many times over the years. Nancy never had a harsh word, even though I certainly deserved a few now and then. She was a very kind soul who will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

What a lovely tribute to a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. It was great to hear all the stories … it brings back so many fond memories. Our condolences and prayers are with you all at this time. So glad this was livestreamed as we dearly wanted to attend the service.

Our deepest sympathies to the Ross and the Boden family. Your wife and Mom, Nancy, was one of the kindest people we had growing up. Even with the steady mayhem of numerous children from numerous families at the Boden cottage she always seemed to find a little time for each child.
Catherine and I have tried to carry on that Boden tradition with the kids we’ve had visit our cottage through the years.
Hope you’re all making your way through this loss. Nancy has a special place in our hearts…Love Paul and Catherine Robertson.
