Obituary of Mrs. Mimi Cheng

On the evening of Friday April 22, 2022, at 71 years young, Mimi Tatlongmaria Cheng passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side.

Beloved mother of Derek and devoted wife of Mark, daughter of Socoro and Magtangol Tatlongmaria, sister to her siblings Yoly, Ofie, Annie, Rosie, Rey, Cristy, Lil, Mar, Connie, and Jhun, aunt/tita to 21 nieces and nephews, and great aunt/tita to 13 great nieces and nephews. And so very, very loved and cherished by her many extended family members and all of her dear friends.

Mimi came to Canada in 1973 to first start working as a seamstress, followed by a bustling career at TD Bank for 12 years before she retired. Then her path led to working at the golf course and the stores of Warden Station.

Throughout her life Mimi spread joy and positivity; she showed her zest for life through her daily tai chi, and she expressed her unique sense of style and grace with her passion for line dancing.

Mimi's bright personality and laughter endeared her to many;  the connections she made, the people she met - these became strong friendships that have lasted throughout the years thanks to her kind spirit and huge heart.

Mimi will always be fondly remembered for the love she shared with everyone.
